It’s December 28th, we’re nearing the end of the year, which is a time that most of us use to reflect on the past year and set new intentions or resolutions for the upcoming year ahead.

My resolution this year is to be more grateful. I feel that gratitude is like a muscle, the more you work it out, the better you become at it.

In the video below, I show you how to make a gratitude jar – or alternatively, an affirmation jar – and how to use them both.

All you really need is a jar, some paper, and a pen… but you can get as fancy or creative as you’d like.

Once you’ve got your jar and paper, all there is to it is writing down the things you’re grateful for and sticking them in the jar to go back to and read at the end of the month or year!

Both being more grateful and including affirmations in our lives are awesome practices to have. We all have things to be thankful for, and counting our blessing can quickly put into perspective how amazing our lives are – even when we may be facing a challenge or upset. For more details, be sure to check out the video above.

If you make a gratitude or affirmation jar leave us a comment on our YouTube video, or find us on Facebook and share a photo of your jar! We’d love to see how this practice is working for you.

All my best wishes to you for a happy and healthy New Year!
